Finally, 2023 is here!

While earth would be spinning on its axis in an insignificant part of the Milky Way galaxy –just like it’s been doing for over 14 billion years – many have predicted that a lot will happen this year.

The weather will get weirder, there’ll be a pushing and pulling from north and south, viruses will come and go and the world will be messed up with a couple of world wars.

Have you ever read the book of Revelations? Do you know the story of the Egyptian king who chased the Israelites? Well, according to some, these stories are a mirror of what is to come in 2023.

But, when it comes to real estate, experts predict that markets will normalize this year. Despite the economic uncertainty and political instability, real estate leaders expect the housing market, a sustainer of the entire real estate economy, to thrive this year.

But, what about real estate agents? What are their resolutions for this year?

A Morning Routine = A More Productive Day

A Morning Routine = A More Productive DayI happen to know a very wealthy and successful real estate agent and a lot of people often ask hm, “How do you accomplish so much in a day?” I’ll tell you his secret: He has an early morning routine.

If we go back a decade, well, he was never a morning person. He’d stay in bed for hours in the morning because he was too cold and lazy to get up. However, he learned that if he wanted to have a successful career, he had to move from a fixed to a growth mindset and start a morning routine.

Developing discipline is one of the most critical things you need to be successful. If you want to build your identity as a successful realtor, you are going to have to push yourself and get out of bed early, even when every fiber of your being is telling you to just lie down.

We live in a very fast-paced world and if you want to stay ahead of the competition, you have to speed up your mind and your life, and thus it is absolutely essential to start a morning routine.

Exercise the Mind

Exercise the MindTo me, the body is all but a reflection of the mind. The reason why many meditate is to strengthen their ability to focus and to learn how to rapidly calm their minds. In this current world, many of us are living with tons of anxiety, stress issues and distractions and it is thus essential to learn how to calm ourselves.

For instance, it is important to cultivate the “just breathe” technique, where you try to quiet your mind and simply breathe. One of the most beautiful things about meditating is that it puts your brain into an alpha-wave state. This is considered to be the most creative of brain states and that can certainly help you be creative and innovative in your work.

Start a Blog

Start a BlogWhen you are a real estate agent and when you want to make good money, you’ll have to work long hours (including weekends and evenings). But, if you don’t have a passion for what you do and you are just interested in the money, don’t bother.

However, if you want to entertain your passion for real estate, you can try blogging. Besides the monetary benefits, here are some other advantages of blogging:

  • When you are starting a new blog and writing your own stuff, you are developing discipline.
  • When you get into blogging, you are “forced” to become a more disciplined and creative thinker and writer. And, this would eventually have a tremendous impact on other areas of your life.
  • With blogging, you can overcome laziness.
  • Blogging is the easiest way to drive traffic to your website and attract customers.
